Root End Surgeries (Apical Surgery)
Root End Surgeries are needed when we cannot get to the very end of a root during a Root Canal Treatment or Retreatment, or if there has been a large area of infection that your body cannot heal on its own.
Most patients do very well with surgeries and heal quickly. The process will feel similar to any other dental work. Fortunately during the procedure, for the most part, you will keep your teeth together instead of opening up wide, which is easier on the patient. You will also leave with a few stitches.
Root End Surgeries are minor or day surgeries. You will be able to return to your regular life the same day.
